Holiday weekend travel ✈️ Grateful for a seamless start at Los Angeles International Airport with Delta Air Lines—and see photos there was no line to check bags. At security, TSA PreCheck, CLEAR, and Delta Digital ID are next to each other and nearly zero people for any of them—and the touchless option was lightning fast. From first scan to standing in front of a TSA agent: 59 seconds—see photo. I timed it. Feeling extra grateful for systems that work and a little “hop” into spring. 🐰🌸Hoppy Easter, Happy Passover, and safe travels wherever you’re headed. ✨Delta Air Lines LAX

From ✈️ Los Angeles to San Jose on a Delta Air Lines flight, and it felt like a flight seeing tour the entire way—tracking the California coastline, watching beaches give way to rolling mountains. Landing at San Jose Mineta International Airport adds another layer to the story. The airport celebrated its 75th anniversary throughout 2024, honoring its 1949 founding with “Ernie” the baby chick—a nod to the 2,550 chicks on its first commercial flight—and a reminder that this region has evolved from the “Valley of Delight” into the heart of Silicon Valley. And the timing of this trip couldn’t feel more relevant. Super Bowl LX took place nearby at Levi's Stadium, with San Jose hosting major fan events across the city. Now the momentum continues, with FIFA World Cup matches on the way and a role in the 2028 Olympics already ahead. This trip I will be cheering on the San Jose Sharks 🙌—but it’s clear this city is playing on a much bigger stage. Easy airport, incredible views, and a destination that keeps surprising me… San Jose delivers. #sanjoselove #Delta #california #GoSharks #FIFA2026 @Visit San Jose @delta @LAX

An afternoon at Alamitos Vineyards—the only vineyard winery in San Jose—and one of those rare experiences where the people, the place, and the wine all feel completely intertwined. Carl and I came for a tasting and stayed for the stories. Shaun and Chris don’t just run the vineyard—they are the vineyard. They planted the grapes in 2015, they farm them, they make the wine, and then they stand there with you, pouring each glass and explaining exactly how it came to be. There’s something powerful about that full-circle connection, about tasting something created entirely by the people in front of you. Set in the hills of New Almaden, the landscape does a lot of the talking—sun, soil, and time shaping what ends up in the glass. Around us, people had brought picnic lunches, settling in at outdoor tables, lingering over tastings and views, turning a visit into an afternoon. It’s not rushed, not transactional—it’s immersive, the kind of place where you want to stay awhile. Shaun explained the balance between sugar ripeness and physiological ripening, how waiting longer on the vine builds complexity, and why Cabernet is always the last grape they pick. It’s thoughtful, patient winemaking, and you can feel that intention in every sip. Shaun’s roots trace back to the Azores, where his grandfather was a winemaker in Portugal and may have contributed sparkling wine connected to the John F. Kennedy inauguration. Chris comes from a family of painters, and Shaun’s family includes artists as well—and together, that creative legacy lives on every bottle. Each label features a bird, with original artwork painted by members of both families. As we tasted, those stories unfolded in a way that felt deeply personal. The wines aren’t just named—they’re illustrated through family art. And then there is the rosé—“Laura’s Love”—created in honor of Chris’s mother, Laura, with the label painted by Shaun’s mother and released around Mother’s Day. It’s not just a name; it’s a collaboration between both families, memory and artistry in the same bottle. The ruby port, “Umunhum,” is the name of the mountain and for the sound of the hummingbird, reflected in the bird on the label. And then there’s Shaun—whose path includes race cars, engineering, and even a rocket science patent or two—bringing a level of precision and curiosity to winemaking that feels uniquely Silicon Valley, yet completely grounded in tradition. Recognized by USA Today as Best New Winery Experience and awarded Gold and Silver at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, this isn’t just a place to taste wine—it’s a place to settle in, slow down, and truly experience it. Come for the wine, stay for the stories—and maybe bring a picnic. 🍷 #sanjoselove #AlamitosVineyards #california #Wine @Alamitos Vineyards @Visit San Jose @VisitCalifornia

I love hockey—and my first time seeing the San Jose Sharks live was absolutely thrilling! Carl and I had seats in the Penthouse Lounge at SAP Center — just four seats in a row, super soft padded chairs, food and drinks included, and a TV at our seats so we could watch replays, check stats, or catch another game without missing a second. It felt like business class for hockey, and every minute was electric.

The arena was alive. Crazy George—the man credited with inventing the wave—was gifted his very own Sharks jersey with his name on the back, and then he led the entire stadium in a wave. What a moment! During one intermission, kids took the ice for a competition that had the whole crowd cheering. Pure live-sports magic. San Jose breathes sports. The Sharks have been thrilling this city since 1991, and SAP Center has been the heartbeat of downtown sports since the early ’90s. The city has cheered through decades of highs, lows, and nail-biting playoff moments. Earlier this year, the city was buzzing as major events unfolded nearby: Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, the 2026 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament West Regional at SAP Center, and soon FIFA matches and LA28 Olympic soccer at PayPal Park. From hockey to basketball, soccer, and global events, San Jose proves it’s a premier sports city—accessible, vibrant, and full of energy. I’ve loved hockey since long before Heated Rivalry hit HBO Max, and nights like this remind me why — fast, fun, full of adrenaline, and completely community-driven. From the penthouse seats to the roar of the crowd, San Jose delivers game night magic like nowhere else. 🏒✨@Visit San Jose @San Jose Sharks @NHL #nhl #sanjosesharks #hockey

A visit to 10th Street Distillery isn’t just a tasting—it’s a masterclass in Silicon Valley mindset: experiment, innovate, and never give up. I met co-founder Virag Saksena, who, with Vishal Gauri, turned curiosity into craft. Growing up in India, whiskey felt one-dimensional—until he tasted a true single malt and realized what it could be. When the bottles he loved disappeared, he didn’t move on—he leaned in, asking: how hard could it be to make something better? That question took him to Scotland to learn at Kilchoman Distillery, and then back to San Jose to build something entirely his own. He designed the equipment, refined the process, and kept iterating. In true Silicon Valley style, it’s constant experimentation—longer fermentation, wild local yeast, and California’s climate accelerating aging and deepening complexity. And the results? Award after award. Their Dragon Triple Cask was named Best of Show at the 2024 Whiskies of the World competition, with recognition in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible helping put San Jose firmly on the global whiskey map, alongside mentorship ties to High West Distillery. What I love most is how it all comes back to community. Some of their whiskey is finished in barrels from Alamitos Vineyards—a beautiful collaboration where local flavors connect. We experienced that firsthand: Carl, his son Masaki, and I stayed for the tasting and tour—and left with three bottles (including two of the Dragon). After also visiting Alamitos and meeting Shaun and Chris, it all clicked. This is San Jose at its best: passionate makers, local connections, and a community that shows up for each other. Follow your curiosity. Do what you love. Keep going. In San Jose, that mindset doesn’t just build companies—it creates world-class whiskey. 🥃✨ #sanjoselove #Whiskey #10thStreetDistillery #whiskeybible #dragontriplecask @Visit San Jose @10thstreetdistillery

Movie 🎥 night—but make it Silicon Valley magic. ✨ At The Tech Interactive, you’re not just watching a film—you’re inside it. The Tech Interactive houses the largest IMAX® dome screen in the Bay Area, powered by the world’s first dome laser projector—truly next-level immersive. We saw Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling, and it was a perfect pairing: a science-centered story at a hands-on science and technology center filled with labs, design challenges, and STEAM exhibits—right during the week of the Artemis launch program. I went with 10 friends—including four of my favorite people from University of Pennsylvania, plus a next-gen Penn grad—and two friends drove down from San Francisco. Three of the ten were seeing the film a second time, and it opened in the last two weeks! They came to watch it with me, give me a hug, and enjoy this unforgettable experience together. All 10 of us gave both the film and The Tech Interactive 10/10. We would absolutely return—for Hollywood blockbusters and the science-driven features that truly shine on the world’s most immersive dome. Earlier in the day, we had sipped some of the world’s best whiskey at 10th Street Distillery, crafted by engineer-turned-whiskey-maker Virag Saksena, whose experiments, trips to Scotland, and dedication to the craft have earned international awards and made San Jose a real destination for spirits. Science, engineering, and creativity all in one place—just like The Tech Interactive. San Jose delivers big experiences, and The Tech Interactive does not disappoint. 🎬💫 🎟️ Showing through April 12—don’t miss it! #SanJoseLove #TheTechInteractive #IMAX #ProjectHailMary #Movie @Visit San Jose @The Tech Interactive @10thstreetdistillery @University of Pennsylvania @Project Hail Mary

Silicon Valley—but make it Mediterranean luxury… and YES please. ✨ I checked into Hotel Valencia Santana Row—the only hotel right on Santana Row—and immediately felt transported to Old World Spain with a chic, boutique vibe right in the middle of everything. My suite? SO good. King bed, balcony, a full living space with a couch, and an enormous bathroom with both a soaking tub and separate shower. It felt spacious, stylish, and exactly where I wanted to come back to after a full day exploring. And the hotel itself delivers: great dining, VBar for a cocktail, Cielo rooftop for views, plus a pool to unwind. Step outside and you’re right in Santana Row—I loved strolling, popping into restaurants, and soaking up the energy. Down the street from the mall and super easy to get to downtown and a Sharks game. This is one of those stays that just makes everything easy—and fun. I loved it. Would absolutely stay here again. 💫 #HotelValencia #SantanaRow #sanjoselove #luxury #Travel @Visit San Jose
