Short boat rides, calm conditions, warm water, and an experienced, welcoming team that makes everything feel easy from start to finish. It’s high-quality diving without the long transits. Dive #1: 3 Pitons Turtles throughout the dive — gliding, resting, eating and swimming to the surface. A shark cruised through the deep blue, that quiet reminder of how alive this ocean is. Nils was a terrific guide: attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. Dive #2: The Spring
Even more turtles, healthy coral, and schools of small fish. We spotted a sleeping white tip reef shark, and the spring creates a noticeable thermocline, adding another layer to the experience as the light softened toward sunset. Huge thanks to Captain Mayou for the smooth ride, calm presence, and great awareness on and in the water. The entire FLUID DIVERS team delivers safe, professional, and genuinely enjoyable diving. Diving has always been one of the ways I feel most alive — quiet, curious, fully present. This day in Papeete with Fluid Tahiti was a perfect reminder of why I love it so much. It felt especially meaningful to dive here after meeting Dorothée at the DEMA Dive Show in Orlando, where we first talked about Tahiti, the ocean, and the magic of diving in French Polynesia. To have that conversation turn into real dives in the water — before boarding my Windstar cruise — felt like one of those full-circle travel moments I treasure. The diving in Papeete is exceptional: short boat rides, calm conditions, warm water, and thriving marine life. Across two dives — 3 Pitons and The Spring — turtles were with us throughout, gliding past the reef and resting below. We saw a shark cruising in the blue, a sleeping white tip reef shark, healthy coral, schools of small fish, and felt the shift of a thermocline near the spring as the light softened toward sunset. Everything here flows easily when you’re with a great team, and Fluid Tahiti delivers that beautifully — thoughtful guiding, smooth logistics, and a deep respect for the ocean. As they say: “A friendly diving center, where we take the time to take care of you…” I love how travel works like this: conversations turn into connections, connections turn into experiences, and experiences become stories you carry forward. Diving with Fluid Tahiti = pure happiness. 🌊🦈 We dove Turtle Plateau on Nitrox, went deep, and WOW — the sharks. So many sharks. Moving effortlessly through the blue, calm and powerful. Dorothée Meisen, manager at Fluid Tahiti, leads a fantastic team — professional, calm, and deeply connected to these waters. Huge thanks to Niles, Mayou, and the entire skilled team. Their dive center is in the marina in Papeete, the boat rides are short to the sites and quickly you’re descending into a vibrant underwater world. Above the surface, Tahiti Nui rises in dramatic green peaks. Below? Sharks, turtles, healthy coral, and that deep Pacific blue that makes your heart race in the best way. This part of French Polynesia truly has everything. I love these travel connections — meeting Dorothée at DEMA in Orlando and then actually diving together here makes it even more meaningful.
